The Norfolk Virginian Pilot September 23, 1937

James Hogshire, aged 73, died suddenly yesterday morning at 9:30 o’clock. He 
is survived by a sister, Mrs. J.D. Munden, of Princess Anne County, and a 
number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Hogshire was a native and lifelong resident 
of Norfolk and resided at 1260 West Thirty-Seventh Street.
The body will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to the Zion Methodist 
Church, of which Mr. Hogshire was a member, for funeral services tomorrow 
afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
