He was a native of Norfolk County and had been a resident of this section for 75 years. He was a son of the late Capt. and Tabitha Grenolds Hogwood and besides his wife is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Helen L. Doyle and Mrs J.C. Harris, of Norfolk; one son, James A. Hogwood, of Detroit, and one grandchild. Mr Hogwood was a member of Black Hawk Tribe of Red Men. Funeral services will be held at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. J.T. Routten of the Seamens Bethel, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
