HOGWOOD - At his residence, Cape Charles, Va., May 22, 1909, at 2 o'clock a.m. 
JOHN HENRY HOGWOOD, in the 69th  year of his age.
Interment Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk Va., on arrival of N.Y., P. & N. steamer, 
8:45 o'clock THIS (Sunday) MORNING.

John H. Hogwood, a native and former resident of Norfolk died at his home in 
Cape Charles, Va., to which place he moved two years ago, at 2 a.m. yesterday, 
in the 69th year of his age.  He is survived by three children --Mrs. J.J.D. 
Taylor, Mrs. H.H. Russell and J.H. Hogwood, Jr., all of Cape Charles.  The 
funeral will be held at Cape Charles this morning and the remains will be 
brought to Norfolk immediately for interment in Elmwood cemetery.  The services 
at the grave will be conducted by Rev. James M. Owens, of St. Paul's Episcopal 
Church.
