The Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 17, 1948 
James Alexander Hogwood, 56, railroad man of Detroit, and son of Mrs. Mary 
Alexander Hogwood and the late James J. Hogwood, died at the residence of his 
sister, Mrs. Gustav Schneider, 1531 Ashland Circe, yesterday at 7:45 a.m.
Besides his mother and sister, he is survived by another sister, Mrs. J.C. 
Harris, of Norfolk, and a niece, Mrs. Robert B. Keagy, of Japan.
Mr. Hogwood was on a visit here when he was stricken. He was a member of 
Elizabeth Camp No. 3, WOW.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Wednesday 
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
