The Virginian Pilot Jan. 4, 1960
Mrs. Sadie Galbraith Holland, 84, died in a Norfolk hospital Sunday at 11:45 
a.m. after a long illness.
A native of Pennsylvania, she came to Suffolk at the age of six months and 
afterward lived in Norfolk 59 years, residing at 3420 Llewellyn Ave.  A 
daughter of John M. and Mary Gilkey Galbraith and the widow of James Herbert 
Holland, she was a member of Epworth Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William L. Whitlock and Mrs. Norway Morris; a 
granddaughter, Mrs. Rondel Brendle, all of Norfolk; two sisters, Miss Bessie 
Galbraith of Mathews County and Mrs. Zeb. V. Edwards of Portsmouth; a brother, 
John Galbraith of Portsmouth, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Derry-Twiford Funeral Home 
by the Rev. Dr. Edgar A. Potts of Epworth Methodist Church with burial in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
