The Virginian Pilot Monday March 21, 1960
Mrs. Sallie Bob Holland, 89, widow of Edward Holland and daughter of John 
Randolph and Ann Amelia Ames Trammell, died Sunday at 5:30 p.m. in a Norfolk 
hospital.
A native of Nansemond County, she lived in Norfolk most of her life.  She was a 
member of Freemason Street Baptist Church, the Daughters of the Confederacy and 
a charter member of Holland Park Garden Club.
She is survived by two sons, Edwin T. Holland of Arlington and Robert D. Holland 
of Norfolk; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth H. Foster of Norfolk and Mrs. Vadane H. 
Buck of New York City, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a 
sister, Mrs. Texie A. Clark of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be held in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Tuesday at 2 
p.m. by the Rev. Dr. William L. Lumpkin of Freemason Street Baptist Church.  
Burial in Elmwood Cemetery
