He was a member of the board of directors of the railway, located at the foot of Mulberry Street in Berkley, and had been associated with the company since May 15, 1916. A native of Norfolk, he was a son of the late William N. and Mrs. Octavia Goldsborough Holland and husband of the late Mrs. Margaret A. Holland. He was a member of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. G.H. Powers, and one grandson, Herman G. Powers, both of Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted at the Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley, tomorrow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
