ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Gladys Matthews Holland, 85, formerly of Norfolk, died Feb. 
22,1988.
Mrs. Holland, a native of East Bend, N.C., was the widow of Robert Dunlap 
Holland Sr. and a member of Larchmont United Methodist Church in Norfolk and its 
United Methodist Women Club. She was also a member of Norfolk Yacht and Country 
Club in Norfolk.
Survivors include a daughter, a son, six grandchildren, and five great-
grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Elmwood Cemetery in 
Norfolk by the Rev. Dabney Walters.
Gay & Oman Funeral Homes, Francis A. Gay Chapel, South Norfolk, is handling 
arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
