Holland, Dean of Virginia Magistrates, Dead James Thomas Holland, said to be the oldest magistrate in the State, died last night at 11:30 o’clock. A native of Norfolk, Holland became a magistrate August 11,1900, and had been active until his death. He was the husband of the late Mamie Holland and made his residence at 738 East Twenty-seventh street. The body was taken to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. HOLLAND, JAMES THOMAS - At a local hospital, Friday, September 29, 1944, at 11:30 o’clock p.m., JAMES THOMAS, son of the late James T. and Mrs. Orella Heath Holland, in the 83rd year of his age. Remains will be taken from the residence, No. 738 East Twenty-seventh street, to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for services MONDAY MORNING at 10 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
