Virginian Pilot September 27, 1911

John H. Holland died at the home of his son, M.E. Holland, 204 West Highland 
Avenue, Monday afternoon, following a stroke of paralysis, in the eighty-second 
year of his age. Besides his son, M.E. Holland, he is survived by two daughters, 
Mrs. Minnie F. Hart, of Portsmouth and Mrs. Edward Keefe, of Buffalo, N.Y. The 
funeral will be private from the residence at 11 o'clock this morning and will be 
conducted by Rev. George Wesley Jones, of McKendree M.E. Church.
