Joseph Holley, 76, died at his residence, 514 E. 18th street, Feb. 8 after an 
illness of five years.

He was a native of Moyock, NC, son of the late Mrs. Ameasie Holley of Bertie 
County, NC and was the husband of Mrs. Adlae Holley.  He was a member of 
Christian Home Baptist Church of Moyock, the Masons North Star 602 AF and A.M.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Adlea Holley;  one daughter, Mrs. Rosa Lee 
Wells;  one granddaughter, Mrs. Mary Hodges;  and one grandson, Claude Holley, 
Jr.

Graves Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Per death certificate, burial was in Calvary Cemetery.  (But might have been 
buried in Elizabeth City NC first - see death certificate:
