Holley, 66, of 841 Lexington street, a World War I veteran and Naval Shipyard worker, was given final rites Sunday at New Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Holley died at Kecoughtan Veterans hospital Jan. 31. His funeral was conducted by Elder Samuel A. Wilson. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery under direction of Citizens Funeral Home. A native of Hertford, NC, Mr. Holley lived in Norfolk 50 years. He was a Navy worker 21 years, and held membership in New Calvary. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Louise Holley; three sons, Edward E., Ervin M., and Leon M. Holley of Norfolk; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Boyd of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Welch of Norfolk and Mrs. Eva McCain of New Jersey; four brothers, Lewis E. and William Holley of Norfolk and James and Ervin C. Holley of New York; and five grandchildren.
