Edith Elsie Mae Hollis passed away Jan. 27, 1999.

Mrs. Hollis was a member of Star of the Sea Catholic Church and was the wife of 
the late Frederick Hollis. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who 
will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her three daughters, Ann Taylor and husband, Stan, and Phyllis 
Cain and husband, David, both of Parrotsville, Tenn., and Diana Berning and 
husband, Mike, of Virginia Beach; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two 
great-great-grandchildren; and special caregivers, Doris Allen, Sandra Gardner, 
Cheryl Peterson, Rolitha McPherson, Paulette McClooney, Melody Valmon and Ann 
Scott.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Kellum Funeral Home, 
Bonney Road Chapel, with a wake service to begin at 7:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will 
be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Star of the Sea Catholic Church by Father James 
Dorson. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Norfolk. In lieu 
of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad.
