Norfolk - Clarence W. Holloman Sr., of 6608 Glenoak drive died recently in a 
local hospital after a long illness.  A native of Ahoskie, NC, he was the son 
of Joe and Mrs. Mattie Taylor Holloman and the husband of Mrs. Cleo W. 
Holloman.  He worked  at Norfolk Naval Base for 21 years.  He was a former 
member of New Calvary Baptist Church.

A funeral service was held in Antioch Baptist Church by the Rev. I. Joseph 
Williams.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with B. F. King Funeral Home in 
charge.  Besides his widow, surviving are two sons, Clarence W. Holloman Jr., 
of Wilmington, NC, and Ruppert Holloman of Peekskill, NY;  three daughters, 
Mrs. Joyce Turner and Miss Diane Holloman of Norfolk, and Mrs. Madelene 
Bibbins of Brooklyn;  two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Holloman and Mrs. Dessie Earley 
of Philadelphia;  and 12 grandchildren.
