J. Jasper Freeman. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Home in charge. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of the late Mack Holloway and Mrs. Dinah Holloway. He operated the Medical Arts parking lot for 20 years and also worked for the Wainwright Building parking lot. He was a former usher and deacon of Queen Street Church. Surviving are a son, Lawrence Battle of Norfolk; three brothers, Walter Holloway and Vann Holloway of Norfolk and Alexander Holloway of Newport News; and five sisters, Mrs. Lucy Hatchett of Suffolk, Mrs. Ann Anderson of Detroit, and Mrs. Rosa Gary, Mrs. Louise Baker and Mrs. Carrie Griffin of Norfolk.
