Norfolk Virginian Pilot May 23, 1936
Mrs. Mary Ellen Holloway, aged 63, died yesterday morning at her residence, 613 
Chestnut Street, Berkley, after a brief illness.  She was the daughter of Henry 
and Elizabeth Blake Proctor and widow of Ross Holloway.  Mrs. Holloway was a 
native of Gloucester County and had made her home in the section for 20 years.  
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Haynes and three brothers, 
George, Allie and William Proctor, of Gloucester County.
The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, 124 East Berkley Avenue, where 
funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock.  Burial will be 
in the Magnolia Cemetery.
