NORFOLK - Evelyn Lee Holloway, 76, passed quietly and gently into eternal rest
Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009. She was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of the late
G. Curtis Sr. and Bessie Berry Lee. She was the wife of Menalcus L. Holloway.

Mrs. Holloway was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and Morgan
State University. Mrs. Holloway retired as an elementary school teacher from the
Norfolk public school system and taught many years at Robert Park Elementary
School. She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church and a founder and
member of the Twinks Civic and Social Club.

She is survived by her husband, Menalcus L. Holloway of the home; sisters,
Pauline Lee Clark, her twin, Eleanor Lee Sadler (Donald Sr.), Shirley Lee Nelson
and Jacquelyn P. Lee; a brother, Curtis Lee Jr.; as well as nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Allen Lee
and a sister, Christine Lee Anderson.

A funeral will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 12, at noon in First Calvary Baptist
Church, 813 Henry St., with the Rev. Dr. Johnnie L. White officiating. Burial
will be in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. in the
funeral home. Her body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Saturday. The
funeral will assemble at the church at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Riddick Funeral
Service is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be offered at
