Norfolk Ledger Dispatch June 27, 1927

Elias Rosser Holloway, 60, died at 6 a.m. today at his home,509 West Liberty 
Street after a long illness. He was born in York County Va., but had lived here 
for 20 years. He was a son of the late E.R. and Mrs. Mary Holloway and is 
survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Frances Holloway; one son, Robert S. Holloway, 
Cape Charles; two brothers, Robert H., of Warwick County and Joseph Manning 
Holloway, of York County and one sister, Mrs. Robert Forrest, York County. He 
was a member of Lee Lodge No. 74, I.O.O.F. The body was removed to the funeral 
home of E. Lee Cox, 124 East Berkley Avenue, where the funeral will take place 
at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
