Julius Clarence Hollowell Jr., 874 Bank street, died recently at the Veteran’s 
Hospital in Kecoughtan, VA.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 19 at 1:30 p.m. at New Calvary Baptist 
Church with Elder Samuel A. Wilson officiating.

Mr. Hollowell was a member of the Rising Sun No. 2, A.F. and A.M. and a veteran 
of World War I.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Hollowell;  two brothers, George and 
Sherman, of Norfolk;  three sisters, Mrs. Minnie White, Josephine Shields of 
Elizabeth City, NC, and Mrs. Cora Johnson of Baltimore MD.

Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.  Riddick’s Funeral Home was in charge.
