He was a native of Petersburg, and a resident of Norfolk for the past 40 years. Mr. Holly was a former member of the Norfolk Fire Departments as engineer at the time of his retirement. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, and the Holy Name Society of that church. A veteran of the World War, at the expiration of his military service, Mr. Holly retired with the rank of lieutenant. Mr. Holly was a member of Norfolk Council No. 367, Knights of Columbus; Norfolk Lodge No. 38, B. P. O. Elks; Firemen’s Relief Association, and the American Legion. Besides his wife, Mrs. Della Myers Holly, Mr. Holly is survived by three sisters, Sister Constance, of the Franciscan Order, Baltimore, and the Misses Lucille and Julia Holly. The body will be taken from the residence to Holy Trinity Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the residence by the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus tonight at 7:45 o’clock.
