She was a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in the area for 10 years and prior to that in West Palm Beach, Fla. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, was a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society and served as a Eucharistic minister to shut-ins at Pinewood Manor. She was a past member of the Irish- American Society of Tidewater, an Allegany Franciscan nun for 21 years and also worked as an L.P.N. for Hillhaven Rehabilitation Center for seven years and was an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. Survivors include a sister, Mary Margaret Duncan of Norfolk; four nephews; three nieces, seven great-nephews and two great-nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Annie Hollywood, and her brother, James F. Hollywood. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Pius X Catholic Church by Fr. William Dale. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday with visitation to follow until 9 p.m. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
