Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark February 23, 1919

                             Michael Hendren Holmes

In the 69th year of his age, death came to Michael Hendren Holmes, in a Norfolk 
hospital, early Saturday morning. The funeral will take place Monday morning at 
11 o'clock, from H.C. Smith's Funeral Apartments, 306-308 Bank Street, with 
burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Holmes is survived by three sisters, Mrs. A.L. Overton, Redville, Va.; Mrs. 
L.E. Garrison and Miss Lillian Holmes, of Norfolk and a brother, A.B. Holmes, 
also of this city and one son M.B. Holmes.
