Funeral services were held Aug. 3 at First Baptist Church, Bute street, for Mrs. 
Thelma Hare Holmes, 36, who died July 30 in a local hospital.  The Rev. E. C. 
Walton officiated.

Mrs. Holmes, of 3020 Hollister avenue, was a native of Norfolk, and held 
membership in First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, James Holmes;  two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Holmes 
Brehon and Miss Laverne Holmes;  father,  Clarence Hare;  and one sister, Mrs. 
Emma Mitchell, all of Norfolk.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Service in charge of 
arrangements.
