Virginian-Pilot December 13, 1932
Mrs. Laura Susan Holmes, aged 77, died last night at 7 o'clock at her residence, 
745 East Twenty-seventh street, after an illness of several months. Mrs. Holmes, a 
lifelong resident of Norfolk, was the widow of Edward J. Holmes. She is survived 
by one stepson, Edward M. Holmes, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. W. H. Durham, both of 
Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at the 
residence. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
