Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, July 17, 2001 
Jackie Robinson Holmes of the 5400 block of Tidewater Drive died July 14, 2001.
He was born in Norfolk to Susie Brookins and the late Ernest Holmes Sr.

In addition to his mother, survivors include six sisters, Ruth Smith, Mary
Edwards, Veronica Graham, Carolyn Smith-Harris, Frances Spruill and Gloria
Holmes; and two brothers, Floyd Smith and Samuel Holmes.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in First Baptist Church, Bolling
Brook, by the Rev. Clinton Brown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing
will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Riddick Funeral Service. The family will
receive friends at 912 Widgeon Road.
