The Virginian Pilot March 18, 1956

GREAT BRIDGE - Mrs. Mary Ella Lee Hooker, 76, widow of Joseph Blount Hooker, 
of Great Bridge, died yesterday at 4:35 a.m. at her residence after an 
illness of nine months.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk County, she was the daughter of Marcellus C. 
Lee and Mrs. Weltha Sibills Old Lee.
She was a member of Centerville Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Ora Glynn Hooker, three grandsons, Glynn F. Hooker, 
Wayne K. Hooker and Robert K. Hooker, one granddaughter, Sharon Hooker, all 
of Great Bridge and two sisters, Mrs. Dora E. Gale and Mrs. Ruth E. Stokley, 
both of Washington.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Graham Funeral 
Home, South Norfolk.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Corrected name of parents from Hooker to Lee and from Lee Old to Old Lee.
