Norfolk Virginian Pilot Saturday September 14, 1946
Mrs. Rebecca Hooper, 76, died yesterday at 7:45 a.m. at the residence, 
Nansemond County, after an illness of one week.
A native of Dare County, N.C., she had been a resident of South Norfolk 50 
years, but for the past year she had lived in Nansemond County.
She is survived by her husband Ezekiel Hooper and a brother, Joseph L. 
Quidley, of Washington, D.C.
Mrs. Hooper was a member of the South Norfolk Congregational Christian 
Church.
The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk, where 
funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be 
in Magnolia Cemetery.
