ARLINGTON, Mass. – Dennis Sidney Hoosack, 33, of the first block of Victoria Road, 
a geotechnical engineer, died Nov. 9, 1987, in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Hoosack, a native of Norfolk, graduated from Old Dominion University and 
Geotechnical University of Colorado.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Jackson Hoosack; a son, James Hoosack of 
Arlington; his parents, Patricia and Edward Hoosack, a sister, Victoria Hoosack, 
and three brothers, Carl Hoosack, Charles Hoosack and Danny Hoosack, all of 
Norfolk; maternal grandmother, Mildred Landis of Norfolk; and maternal 
grandfather, Harry Miller of Newport News.
The graveside service will be conducted at 9 a.m. today in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 
Norfolk. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
