NORFOLK - Mrs. Susan Cecelia Smith Hoosack, 67, of 8205 Gygax Road, died Wednesday 
at 1 p.m. in a hospital after a sudden illness. She was the widow of Michael 
Martin Hoosack and a daughter of John and Mrs. Ann Smith.
A native of Helmetta, N.J., she lived in Norfolk 36 years. She was a member of 
Holy Trinity Catholic Church and its Middle Age Club, 60-plus Club, and Senior 
Citizens Club.
She is survived by two sons, Edward M. Hoosack of Norfolk and Eugene J. Hoosack in 
the Army at Ft. Bliss, El Paso, Tex.; a daughter, Miss Eleanor Ann Hoosack of 
Cascade, Md.; a brother, Michael Smith of Jamesburg, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Julia 
Mondoka of Helmetta; and six grandchildren.
The body will be taken from Derry-Twiford Funeral Home Saturday at 10 a.m. for a 
funeral service in Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
The rosary will be said in the chapel of the funeral home Friday at 7:30 p.m.
