Ocean View Ave., the husband of Mrs. Ann Steel Hopkins and a son of the late Stonewall J. and Mrs. Nannie Kilby Hopkins, died in a hospital Sunday at 7:30 a.m. He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk. He was a Presbyterian. He retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard and lately worked for Thomas Nelson Hotel. He also managed several motels in Virginia Beach and had worked for Holiday Inns. Besides his widow, he is survived by three daughters, Christy Lee Hopkins, Susy Ann Hopkins, and Candy Ann Hopkins, and a brother, Jackson R. Hopkins, all of Norfolk; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary McDevitt of Norfolk and Mrs. Lloyd Charker of Baltimore. A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Tuesday at noon by the Rev. William L. Wilson of Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
