Jesse James Hopkins, 49, husband of Mrs. Ellen Thayer Hopkins, a native of Dalton, 
Ga., and a resident of this section for a number of years, died Thursday night at 
the Veterans Administration Hospital at Kecoughtan. Besides his wife, Mrs. Ellen 
Thayer Hopkins, he is survived by a step-son, Robert L. Beisgen; a step-grandson, 
Robert L. Beisgen, Jr., and a brother, Thomas J. Hopkins, of Dalton, Ga. Services 
will be held at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Monday at 12 
o’clock noon. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Mr. Hopkins was a veteran 
of World War I.
