Hopkins, white, steward on board the three-masted schooner Florence Randall, Captain Conary, lying off Lambert’s Point, yesterday morning about two o’clock, while walking on deck fell down the hatchway, which had been left open, fracturing his skull, and causing almost instant death. The deceased was 53 years of age, and hailed from Boston, where his family is residing. The body of the unfortunate man was yesterday taken to Hall’s undertaking establishment, where it was embalmed, and awaits the instructions of the family.
