The funeral of Miss Arlethia Hopkins, 55, of 409 Lodge St., who died in a local 
hospital Monday, November 11, was held from Bank St. Baptist Church with the Rev. 
G. W. Watkins officiating Thursday, November 14. Miss Hopkins was known and loved 
throughout the city under the name of “Cozy.” Mrs. Anna Hopkins, her mother, 
survives her. Burial took place in Calvary Cemetery.
