Hosier, mother of our well known townsman, Wesley W. Hosier, has been confined to her home by a painful but patiently borne sickness. She passed away peacefully last night at 10 o'clock. She died as she had lived, triumphant in the Christian hope. If the monument of a mother's character and goodness remains in the uprightness and nobility of her children, surely Mrs. H. did not live in vain, for we have seldom seen a mother inspire a more self-sacrificing devotion in a child than she. Her amiability and thoughtful care for others drew to her many warm friends who mourn her loss. Charitable to the poor, helpful to the sick, kind to all, untiringly devoted to her own, her life was a constant blessing, and her death can be nothing less that the cause of sincere sorrow. Her funeral will take place from her late residence, No. 239 Freemason Street, Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock. ************************************************************************* HOSIER - At her residence, 239 Freemason Street, at 10 o'clock p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 1883, Mrs. JANE B.
