Norfolk Virginian Pilot December 22, 1939

Charles Samuel Hosier, aged 69, husband of Mrs. Alice Relifurd Hosier and son 
of the late William and Mrs. Mary Hosier, died at his residence, 1268 West 
Thirty-ninth street, yesterday evening at 9 o'clock.  Mr. Hosier, a former 
justice of the peace, was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk.  He was a 
member of the Travelers Protective Association, of America. Besides his wife, 
he is survived by several nieces and nephews. Remains were taken to the H.D. 
Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, pending arrangements.
