Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, April 21, 2002 
Beatrice Calvert Hoskins , 103, of the 1600 block of Belafonte Drive, died April
18, 2002, in Sentara Nursing Center.

She was a native of Northampton County, N.C. and the daughter of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Nathan Calvert.

She was the widow of Josepheus Hoskins and is survived by three nieces, Mrs.
Marie Hines of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Ethel Saulter of Florence, S.C., and Mrs. Suzy
Calvert-French and husband, Stuart, of Carey, N.C.; many great-nieces, -nephews,
cousins, and friends; and Godchildren, Wilford and Charlotte Smith of Portsmouth.

A wake will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church Bute Street in
Norfolk, followed by the funeral at noon with the Rev. Dr. Robert G. Murray
officiating. The body will be available for viewing at Fisher Funeral Home. The
interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk.
