Ira Hoskins, 7, of 812 Summitt avenue, died at 11:45 a.m. Aug. 11 at a Norfolk
hospital following an illness of about two months. Funeral services were held at
1:30 p.m. Aug., at New First Baptist Church, Campostella, with the Rev. Robert
Harris, pastor, officiating. Ira attended John Goode and Lindenwood schools.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Alma Hoskins; four aunts, Mrs. Irma Houston, of
Norfolk; Mrs. Aliene Ewells and Mrs. Evelyn Greaves, of Washington DC; and Mrs.
Grace Melia, of Jamaica, NY; two uncles, I. L. Carrington, and the Rev. Herbert
S. Carrington, of Washington, DC, and his maternal grandfather, Henry R.
Carrington, also of Washington,DC.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick’s Funeral Home in charge.
