Norfolk Virginian April 24, 1897

HOUSEHOLDER - At the residence of parents, No. 787 Church Street, Friday, April 
23rd, 1897, at 9:30 o'clock a.m., MATILDA, wife of J.L. Householder and daughter 
of F. and Mary Voight, aged 27 years and two months.
The funeral will take place from above residence SUNDAY AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend.

The funeral of Mrs. Matilda Householder, wife of Mr. J.L. Householder, took 
place at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon from the residence of her parents, Mr. 
and Mrs. F. Voight, No. 787 Church Street, and was conducted by Dr. O.S. Barten, 
of Christ Episcopal Church. The interment was in Elmwood. The following were the 
pallbearers: Thomas. Davis, George Potts, Alonzo Batts, Sidney Stennegh, Frank 
Riddick, Augustus Soussons, Charles Tombleson and Mr. Cartwright.
