NORFOLK - Mrs. Lena Howard of 1400 Shank St. died Friday in a hospital.

A native of Windsor, N.C., she was a daughter of Willis and Mrs. Mary Pugh and the
widow of Robert C. Howard.

She was a member of Greater Metropolitan AME Church and its choir.

She is survived by a son, Leon Howard of Alexandria; four daughters, Mrs. Lillian
Stuart and Mrs. Algerine Fairfax of Norfolk, Mrs. Cleona Green of Brooklyn, N.Y.,
and Miss Jean Lee Howard of New York; a sister, Mrs. Mary Scott of New York; 10
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Monday at noon in Greater Metropolitan AME Church by
the Rev. J. Brown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in
charge.
