Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, October 4, 1997 
LaJoy Monique Howard, 20, of the 900 block of E. Princess Anne Road and the 1700
block of Hunter St., departed this life Oct. 1, 1997. She died in a local hospital.

She was born in Norfolk Jan. 23, 1977. She attended Norfolk City Schools and was
an employee at Burger King.

Survivors include a daughter, Jakiara Howard; a son, Karon Howard; her mother,
Myra D. Howard; her father, Ernest D. Bullock; a sister, Capria L. Howard, all
of Norfolk; her maternal grandmother, Carolyn B. Howard of Norfolk; paternal
grandparents, Lionell and Georgia Bullock of Virginia Beach; five aunts, Carolyn
Lewis, Phyllis Minton, Nancy Hendricks, Arlette Howard, all of Norfolk, and
Beverly Bullock of Virginia Beach; five uncles, Chauncey Howard of Philadelphia,
Jay Howard and Michael Howard of Norfolk, and Alonzo Bullock and Stephen Bullock
of Virginia Beach; a special friend, Javro Kelly; and a host of other relatives
and friends.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Bethany Baptist Church. Burial will
be in Calvary Cemetery . The family will receive friends at 1717 Hunter St.,
Norfolk. Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
