Howell died in his home, 524 Broad Street yesterday morning at 4 o'clock of pneumonia. He was 58 years of age and has resided in Portsmouth for the last 28 years. He was a loyal member of the Port Norfolk Baptist Church and active in all Christian work and was held in great esteem by all who knew him. He was a member of Refuge Lodge No. 234, Odd Fellows. He leaves many friends to mourn his loss. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Howell and the following children: Lloyd B. Howell, Victor L. Howell, Julian Thomas Howell and a daughter, Miss Carrie Lee Howell, all of this city. Funeral service will be conducted in the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will take place in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley. ****************************************************************** Vannoy Levy Howell, who died Tuesday morning at 4:11 o'clock in his residence, 524 Broad Street, will be buried this afternoon in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley. Funeral service will be conducted in the residence at 2 o'clock.
