PORTSMOUTH - William Harold Howell, 83, of 2011 Darden Terrace, died Sunday in a 
Norfolk hospital.
A native of Norfolk, he had lived most of his life in Portsmouth. He was a retired 
Merchant Marine engineer, and a member of International Maritime Seafarers Union.
Survivors include two sons, Alonzo Holton Howell of Indialantic, Fla., and William 
Hobbs Howell of Norfolk, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. William G. Winton. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery. The family will be at 1427 West Little Creek Road, Norfolk.
