A native of Norfolk, Mrs. Howell, a retired self-employed seamstress, formerly was employed at Liberal Clothiers. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street, the Do All We Can Club, the Dorcas Class and Star of the East Tent 6. Survivors include a sister, Annie Eley of Norfolk, and a foster daughter, Annie Moorman of Woodruff, SC. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church, Bute Street, by Dr. Robert G. Murray. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at Hale Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
