T. Cole, of the schooner Widgeon. The body, which was somewhat decomposed, was quickly identified by several men on Roanoke dock who knew Howlett. Howlett was single. The drowned man was a watchman on an oyster boat over on the eastern shore of the State. He was in a small boat, which was swept out into the bay, where he was drowned. The coroner, who investigated the case, said there were no marks of violence on the body. A message has been sent to the relatives of the dead man, and the body is being held for them.
