Virginian-Pilot February 26, 1923
Mrs. Emma Jane Hoy, 64 years old, died at 5:20 o'clock yesterday afternoon. She 
was the widow of W. T. Hoy. Mrs. Hoy is survived by one son, L. L. Hoy, and one 
daughter, Mrs. Charles White, both of Norfolk. The body will be taken from V. H. 
Smith's funeral apartments, 631 Olney Road, at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon to the 
residence of her son, L. L. Hoy, 227 Fenchurch street, for funeral services. 
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
