Hoy died early yesterday morning at the home of his son, Leonard L. Hoy, 229 Fenchurch Street, following a long period of failing health. He was 59 years old. He was a native of Elizabeth City, N.C., and had lived in Norfolk forty years. He was highly regarded here. He was formerly on the police force and was a member of the fraternities of Owls, Junior American Mechanics and Odd Fellows. He is survived by his wife, three children, Leonard L. Hoy, Mrs. John Schomaker and Mrs. Charles White and a brother, John O. Hoy, all of Norfolk. The funeral will take place at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Cumberland Street Methodist Church of which Mr. Hoy was a member. Rev. J.A. Thomas, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. ************************************************************************* HOY - At the residence of his son, Leonard L.
