VIRGINIA BEACH - Mrs. Betty Scripter Hubbard, 38, of 1424 Rust Drive, died in a 
local hospital Tuesday. She had taught at Crossroads Elementary School since 1952.
She was the widow of Reginald D. Hubbard and a daughter of Mrs. Catherine D. 
Scripter of Virginia Beach and the late Verne Scripter.
A native of Glen Falls, N.Y., she lived here most of her life.
She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, National Education Association, 
and Norfolk Education Association.
Surviving, besides her mother, is a daughter, Miss Karen Leslie Hubbard of 
Virginia Beach.
The Rosary will be said in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, tonight at 
7:30.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Pius X Catholic Church Thursday at 10 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
