Ellen Downing Huck, 86, of the 1500 block of E. Ocean View Ave., a retired 
salesperson, died Feb. 6, 1991, in a hospital.

Mrs. Huck, a Norfolk native, had retired from Hofheimer's Shoe Stores after 50 
years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Chesapeake, 
Catholic Daughters of America and Daughters of Isabella. She was the widow of 
Howard L. Huck.

Survivors include two sons, James H. Huck of Norfolk and Cornelius H. Huck of 
Richmond; two sisters, Mary Hayes of Mount Kisco, N.Y., and Evangeline Hendricks 
of Joppa, Md.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic 
Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A Rosary service will be 
at 8 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk.
