The Virginian Pilot Thursday November 14, 1963
Charles Robert Hudgins, 80, of 522 Spotswood Ave., retired manager of Virginia-
North Carolina branch of Northern Insurance Co., of New York, died Wednesday at 
10:40 a.m. in a hospital after a long illness.
A son of Capt. W.E. and Mrs. Victoria Stone Hudgins, he was a lifelong resident 
of Norfolk and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Blanche Blake Hudgins of Norfolk; two sisters, 
Mrs. C.J. McCarthy of New Bern, N.C., and Mrs. Edward Lucas of Florence, S.C.; 
and two brothers, Eugene Hudgins of Virginia Beach and Herbert Hudgins of 
California.
The body was taken to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.
