Hudgins, died yesterday morning at 8:05 o'clock at her residence, 508 Olney Road. Her husband and her ten children were with her when the end came. Mrs. Hudgins had suffered for more than a year with paralysis. A second stroke of the disease came upon her last month and she never recovered from it. She lost consciousness last Monday. Her children, living in other states were notified of her condition and they arrived in the city Wednesday night. Mrs. Hudgins was the daughter of Captain Edward E. Stone, U.S.N. She was widely known in this city and was held in highest regard by hosts of friends. She has been an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church until the time when physical affliction prevented her performing her church duties. Her husband and the following children survive her: William E. Jr., Charles R., Albert M., Herbert V. and Louis Eugene Hudgins; Miss Caroline E. Hudgins and Mrs. S.A. Sutton, all of Norfolk; Mrs. William E. Callender and Mrs. W.J. Baxter both of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Edward H. Lucas, of Florence, S.C. The funeral will be held from the residence tomorrow morning and will be private. The interment, likewise private, will take place in Elmwood Cemetery.
